My Story

I have always enjoyed painting now and again, but after my diagnosis of early onset Parkinson's in 2017, at just age 49 , I was shocked and devasted and alone. So I decided to use this emotion to pull myself up and throw myself into my art. I love exploring with acrylics and spend hours creating flowers , landscapes and individual paintings. I am inspired by beautiful landscapes that I have seen, so using photos I've taken, I transfer these flowers and landscapes into my paintings. Spending hours and hours using a variety of colours, I find it very satisfying seeing the final end product. Therefore this encapsulates my creative passion with my original works of art.

Our history

Since being out of work as a nursing assistant I have continued my love and passion for art and painting and have thrown myself into my paintings.

My Story

Hello, my name is Debbie (officially Deborah ) but I much prefer Deb or Debbie.
I was born in Oxford in 1968 - seems like a lifetime ago now scarily - even for the time we did have central heating, although my radiator never worked( so maybe that's why I hate the cold?) . Despite this, I absolutely loved growing up in the city and so I have spent most of my life here, apart from the year I spent in Australia during my late twenties !! along-side some very sunny years living in Dorset. My last job was as a nursing assistant, for a brain injury unit, which I loved. However, after my 49th birthday, after a lovely summer, I was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson's . Nine years on, and I am still fighting every day to keep moving and have now recently joined a gym , walking football and boxing too face my battles head on with everyday that approaches.

I have decided that all paintings sold, will contribute as a small percentage (ie 5% of all annual profit) will be raised for the Parkinson's Research campaign. I hope you enjoy my page and my artwork as much as I have enjoyed creating it.
